USULAN PERBAIKAN TATA LETAK GUDANG MENGGUNAKAN METODE CLASS BASED STORAGE

ABSTRAK
Dalam operasional gudang terdapat berbagai faktor yang harus diperhatikan, salah satunya tata letak gudang. Faktor tersebut sering dianggap remeh oleh kebanyakan perusahaan manufaktur dan menyebabkan sering terjadi permasalahan penumpukan material. Permasalahan tersebut dialami juga oleh perusahaan PT XYZ. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini, penulis akan menganalisis tata letak gudang PT XYZ, khususnya pada material defend. PT tersebut memiliki gudang seluas 192 meter persegi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode class based storage. Metode class based storage adalah cara untuk menyimpan barang di gudang. Material dipisah menjadi tiga kelas, disebut A, B, dan C, dengan analisis ABC yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya digunakan untuk menentukan aktivitas penerimaan dan pengeluaran gudang. Diketahui bahwa kelas A mempunyai nilai 29,69% dengan jumlah kategori sebanyak 19 kategori, kelas B mempunyai nilai 28,13% dengan jumlah kategori sebanyak 18 kategori, kelas C mempunyai nilai 42,19% dengan jumlah kategori sebanyak 27 kategori. Tata letak usulan dapat mengurai penumpukan material di akes jalan dan di tempat penyimpanan. Pada tata letak usulan untuk penumpukan material yang terdapat di area jalan mempunyai area tersendiri. perbandingan jarak perpindahan material sebelum dan sesudah perubahan tata letak gudang adalah memiliki selisih 34,1% atau 6.914 meter. Hasil sebelum perubahan sebesar 20.273 meter, sedangkan hasil setelah perubahan sebesar 13.359 meter.
ABSTRACT
In the warehouse operations, there are various factors that must be considered, one of which is the warehouse layout. These factors are often to be underestimated by most manufacturing companies and cause frequent problems with the material being excessive . This problem was also experienced in PT XYZ. Therefore, in this research, the author will analyze the layout of PT XYZ's warehouse, especially the defense material. The PT has a warehouse covering an area of 192 square meters. The method used is the class based storage. The class based storage method is a way to store goods in a warehouse. Goods are divided into three classes, called A, B, and C, and the ABC analysis that has been carried out previously is used to determine warehouse receipt and expenditure activities. It is known that class A has a value of 29.69% with a total of 19 categories, class B has a value of 28.13% with a total of 18 categories, class C has a value of 42.19% with a total of 27 categories. The proposed layout can reduce the excessive of material on the walking area and in storage areas. In the proposed layout for the accumulation of materials in the walking area there is a separate area. The comparison of material movement distance before and after changes to the warehouse layout is 34.1% or 6,914 meters. The results before the changes were 20,273 meters, while the results after the changes were 13,359 meters.
