Drum merupakan salah satu instrumen perkusi yang cukup familiar dan banyak digemari dalam bidang kursus ketrampilan musik. Hal ini jelas terbukti bahwa hampir disetiap tempat kursus musik selalu membuka kelas instrumen drum. Dalam memainkan instrumen drum masing-masing anggota tubuh khususnya tangan kanan dan kiri, serta kaki kanan dan kiri memainkan bagian yang berbeda dalam satu waktu. Hal ini tentu terlihat rumit bila diajarkan pada anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki metode pengajaran instrumen drum pada anak dengan mengambil sampel salah satu lembaga kursus musik di Yogyakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengamatan tidak terlibat terhadap proses pembelajaran drum di dalam kelas. Hasilnya yaitu strategi guru memegang peranan penting atas kompetensi anak dalam memainkan instrumen drum. Imitasi menjadi metode dan strategi yang paling efektif digunakan saat proses pembelajaran instrumen drum.Downloads
